It's funny, was talking with a friend this past weekend and he asked me "when was the last time you saw someone compete with an ace bandage on his leg?" ... And I could think of anyone !!!

I don't want to call anyone on pride, but it sure seems different now ...Conway Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02133670136098939453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7181733805244715468.post-86522469809525903472010-07-15T17:53:30.783-07:002010-07-15T17:53:30.783-07:00..."but Robles has since pulled from the meet......"but Robles has since pulled from the meet citing the need to recover from his 13.01 effort in Lausanne."

I sense a bit of sarcasm in your wording, and I agree. How can an athlete of Robles' caliber resist a chance to compete with the best, barring a serious debilitating injury? Maybe he's gun-shy, considering last year's misfortune...or (dare I say it?) scared of Oliver? :-)

I was so proud of Tyson Gay to race at the Pre even though he was rusty and sore. Losing to Dix didn't diminish him in my eyes at all.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
